Position Type: Full Time or Part Time, 12 Month
Salary Range: $16.50 - $21.04 Hourly
Buffalo Hearing & Speech is seeking a dedicated Full-Time or Part-Time Custodian to join our team.
Full-Time Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The full-time role includes daily travel, starting at our Amherst clinic and continuing to our North Street location in Buffalo.
Part-Time Schedule (15 hours per week):
Monday through Friday at our Amherst clinic, either 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The Custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center.
Essential Functions:
- Clean, Vacuum, and maintain appearance on a daily basis for bathrooms, classrooms, offices, conference rooms, hallways, etc, as individually assigned.
- Clean and Vacuum Hearing Booths and Audiology Treatment rooms
- Empty all garbage daily
- Refill necessary items such as soap dispensers, toilet paper, paper towels, etc.
- Refill water coolers
- Wipe down classroom/clinical equipment in necessary rooms such as the PT/OT room, library, playground, classrooms, evaluation rooms, etc.
- Complete recycling tasks daily. Cardboard, paper, etc.
- Ensure all end of the day items are completed, such as turning off televisions, coffee pot burners and lights. Alarm must be activated upon exit.
- Assist with necessary maintenance of grounds and buildings as needed.
- All other duties as requested by your supervisor.

Education:
Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma/ GED
Physical Requirements :
- Physical actions may include, but are not limited to; bending, kneeling, standing, squatting, reaching, printing, crawling, and running.
- Vision, speech, tactical and hearing senses adequate to perform job requirements.
