ICMS is seeking a detail oriented, organized, and experienced Custodian to join our team in support of one of our federal clients in Miami, FL This position is 100% onsite at a Federal Government facility. This is a Union position through the Teamsters Local 769 Union.

The Custodian cleans and keeps in an orderly condition facility working areas and restrooms, common areas, offices and administrative areas, detention cells, conference room areas, elevators, and lobbies/visitor areas.

Duties involve a combination of:

• sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing, and polishing floors
• removing trash and other refuse
• dusting of furniture or fixtures
• polishing metal fixtures or trimmings
• providing supplies and minor maintenance services
• cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms
• experience with flooring restoration a plus.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent work experience
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to be on time for shifts
• Basic cleaning skills with ability to work with cleaning materials required to disinfect (i.e., Industrial disinfectant, industrial sanitizer, bleach/water solutions, etc.)
• Ability to work independently, in addition to following specific, detailed instructions
• Good communication skills
• Close attention to detail
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.

Additional Qualifying Factors:

· Candidates will be required to pass and maintain a clean background investigation suitable for operating on a Federal Facility

· Candidates will be subject to successfully passing drug screening prior to employment and random screening through their employment.

Physical Requirements:

· Individual must be capable of climbing stairs and being on his or her feet for up to 8 hours a day and lift a minimum of 15 pounds

Full-time, Union position

Pay Rate: $24.68 per hour plus H&W benefits

· This position is eligible for overtime compensation if required. Health and Welfare benefits are up to $1,550.00 per month.

· Employees receive an allowance for uniform shirts, pants, and footwear on an annual basis.
