Reporting to the Director of Facilities, a Custodian’s responsibility is to provide a safe, attractive, clean and comfortable environment for students, staff and the general public.

Occasionally, yet essential to this position, the individual must meet deadlines with time constraints, interacting with the public and other workers.

Occasionally, the position requires the employee to work irregular or extended hours, meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff. The employee is also required to shovel snow during winter months.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works indoors and outdoors as the task requires. The employee will work near or with moving mechanical equipment. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. Frequently the employee will work alone or with coworkers.
The noise level in this position varies from quiet to loud.
