Terms of Employment
This is a 12 month position for 4 hours/day. This position is not eligible for benefits. Start time is flexible for second shift. Hours may vary due to school activities, summer work or inclement weather. May require overtime.
Purpose
Perform general cleaning and maintenance in district buildings and grounds; maintains equipment in functional condition; and provides cleaning and custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary. Performs related duties and general maintenance work as required.
Qualifications
Knowledge of cleaning and related custodial duties is desirable. Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, machines, and equipment such as floor machines, vacuums, etc., is desirable. Must be able to lift, pull or push 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. A 50-pound lift test will be required. Must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff and the general public. Must be able to get along with others in a team situation.
Clark-Pleasant Community School Corp. is a public school system serving grades pre-kindergarten through high school. We are made up of Clark and Pleasant townships. We have one high school, one middle school, six elementary schools, pre-K, and a secondary level alternative academy. We are located in Johnson County which is just south of Indianapolis, IN.
