LSU Health New Orleans Division of Property and Facilities is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Custodian 1 or 2. The hours of operation for this position is 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.

This position is in a Career Progression Group

As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a (Custodian 1 or 2 ) depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).

Starting rate of pay for a Custodian 1 is $10 and Custodian 2 is $10.70 per hour. There is also an additional $1 Longevity pay for hours worked only. Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the applicants’ qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Cleaning elevated walkways
  • Cleaning elevators and stairwells
  • Cleans glass windows and doors
  • Parking garage, parking lot, sidewalk and curb maintenance
  • Follows established procedures precisely to clean and maintain restrooms
  • Follows established procedures precisely to perform periodic floor cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

This position is mainly OUTDOORS.
