The mission of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach treatment goals and to return to more integrated community living settings. Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs

Pinecrest Supports & Services Center is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Custodian 1-3 to play a vital role in the upkeep and cleanliness of all of the buildings on the Pinecrest Supports & Services grounds. You will clean and vacuum carpet. Clean bathrooms and bathroom fixtures, mopping with a chemical solution to disinfect areas according to O.S.H.A. regulations.

Job Duties:

  • Heavy-duty mopping and cleaning of floors using mop heads; sweep porches and sidewalks around buildings to keep individuals safe.
  • Clean and vacuum carpet.
  • Clean bathrooms and bathroom fixtures, mopping with a chemical solution to disinfect areas according to O.S.H.A. regulations.
  • Pick up “Red Bags” in the medical complex area and dispose of them properly.
  • Pick up trash daily from waste baskets and dispose of it.
  • Clean up spills, food, and drinks.
  • Keep soap, towels, and toilet tissue dispensers filled.
  • Perform high dusting and cleaning of ceiling lights and fans, air conditioner, and heating vents.
  • Dust or wash walls, doors, woodwork, mirrors and furniture.
  • Clean and wash windows and screens.
  • Move and replace furniture to clean behind and under furniture and along walls.
  • Maintain adequate supply of cleaning and housekeeping materials for custodians’ use.


Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, or Detail to Special Duty. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.

Career Progression: Custodian 1-3

Location: LDH Housekeeping with PINECREST SUPPORTS & SERVICES CENTER

Work Schedule: 7:00AM - 3:30 PM Pass Days: Saturday & Sunday

Compensation: Salary Depends on Qualifications. This position receives Longevity Pay of $ 1.00 per hour.
Custodian 1: $10.00 - $18.00 Hourly

Custodian 2: $10.70 - $19.26 Hourly

Custodian 3: $12.25 - $22.05 Hourly
