$16.94 hourly rateThis is moderately heavy manual work which involves routine housekeeping and domestic tasks of various buildings. Primary responsibilities include the use of proper methods and materials in cleaning and otherwise caring for buildings and equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Foreman.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE STATUS: As a condition of employment, City of Largo employees will be required to work as directed during an undeclared and/or a declared emergency. All employees are subject to recall around the clock for emergency response operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the normal work location, and may include duties other than those specified in the official job description.

Work Environment: 80% inside a climate-controlled building; 20% outside which may include driving.
Physical Requirements: The essential functions of the job require: sitting approximately thirty (30) minutes per day, standing or walking approximately 7.5 hours per day. The work requires frequent bending/stooping, climbing (stairs and ladder), crawling, fine manipulations, grasping, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, and occasional lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds; with frequent lifting/carrying objects weighing 15 to 44 pounds (recycling bins, etc.). On rare occasions the work requires lifting/carrying objects weighing over 50 pounds.
Sensory Requirements: Hearing: Ability to understand what others are saying in normal conversation in person and on the telephone, and ability to detect specific noises and the proper equipment operation. Speaking: Ability to communicate orally with others in person and on the telephone, and to be able to acknowledge instructions. Seeing: Ability to operate a vehicle, read fine print, and determine when rooms are clean.
Technology: The work requires ability to operate telephones, smart phones, tablets, desktop and/or laptop computers, calculators, and all associated software.
Other Machines: The work requires the ability to operate the following machines: buffers, automatic scrubbers, carpet cleaner, vacuums, and heavy-duty cleaning machines.
