Job Description

Responsible for delegating and monitoring the execution of custodial staff’s work assignments. Responsible for supervising and training staff and for ensuring all public areas are cleaned and maintained in accordance with company and departmental standards. Clean and maintain public areas e.g. hallways, lobbies, stairways, locker rooms etc.

• Prepare and distribute assignments and make any necessary adjustments during each shift according to business needs.

• Inspect and approve cleaning of all designated areas.

• Handle personnel-related matters including but not limited to hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and monitoring.

• Check all cleaning aids and equipment; ensure that they are in proper working order and are in compliance with safety standards.

• Complete work orders for maintenance repairs; follow up to ensure completion.

• Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas; pick up and remove trash and debris.

• Responsible for property clean up including bio-chemical material.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be least 21 years of age.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Six (6) months of experience in a similar position preferred.

• Must be able to operate, and demonstrate proper usage of, all equipment including but not limited to vacuum cleaners, carpet shampooers, and floor scrubbers.

• Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift.

• Other physical requirements include but are not limited to: bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and crouching.

• Must be knowledgeable about cleaning chemicals used by the department.

• May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including but not limited to excessive noise and second-hand smoke.

• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
