OF POSITION:
A Duneland School Corporation Shift Leader is required to clean, sanitize and maintain corporation properties in a safe and lawful manner. The Chesterton High School (CHS) Shift Leader has a highly visible role in the daily operations and assistance of the custodial services department. The Shift Leader is responsible for maintaining supplies, and dealing with students and staff on a regular basis. The CHS Shift Leader will interact with individuals both inside and outside of the corporation and therefore, must have the ability to present a professional and organized image at all times. The Shift Leader may be required to work in other Duneland School Corporation facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (includes equipment, hours, physical demands)
Work Environment: This position typically works in facilities with a controlled temperature environment. Occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions may occur depending upon assignments.
Equipment: This position is required to maintain a working knowledge of all custodial equipment. A basic knowledge of operations concerning computers, printers, telephone systems, fax machines and
copiers are required.
Hours: This position is typically expected to work an average of 8 hours per day with a 30 minute lunch period. Summer hours will be adjusted as per the Superintendent to assure • adequate coverage throughout the summer period. Evening, weekend and holiday activities will be scheduled as necessary.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by all Duneland School Corporation custodians to successfully perform the essential
functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently
required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50
pounds and occasionally move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability.

Clark-Pleasant Community School Corp. is a public school system serving grades pre-kindergarten through high school. We are made up of Clark and Pleasant townships. We have one high school, one middle school, six elementary schools, pre-K, and a secondary level alternative academy. We are located in Johnson County which is just south of Indianapolis, IN.
