Job Title: CET

This position is located at the Milliken Cushman site in Williamston, SC and reports to Engineering. This position is r esponsible for maintaining the plant production equipment and auxiliary equipment (including material handling, pumps, motors, air compressors, boilers, & chillers) at or above expected physical condition so as to produce high quality products on schedule, keeping required maintenance records and schedules and needed parts and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies drives, gages and test equipment
  • Reinstall guards and safety equipment correctly after completion of any work
  • Ensure D.C. /A.C. motors, breakers and other equipment switches are in good working order.
  • Read electrical drawings and ensure electrical components of machinery are operating properly.
  • Assist other engineering associates to perform work as required to keep production machinery and auxiliary equipment in working order.
  • Inform appropriate management and maintenance/production associates of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Assist Maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting
  • Demonstrate a high level of safety consciousness and fully participate in the Milliken Safety Process

Qualifications: Preferred

  • Two-year technical degree in an electrical-related field
  • Through knowledge or electrical/electric components and equipment including PC hardware components, desktop operation system software and application software.

The successful candidate will demonstrate skills in the following:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Able to work well with various groups of people such as vendors, customers, Milliken associates whether individually or in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and use resources creatively
  • Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Able to work well and communicate with production associates in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting
  • Able to lift and move objects of 50 pounds and be capable of using motorized equipment (Fork trucks, tuggers, etc)
