
Primary Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support the College of Nursing Graduate Programs’ Review. Education: A Master’s degree, preferably, a Master of Health Professions Education, a Master of Education with a strong interest in curriculum development, or a Master in Nursing with a curriculum development specialty or a specialization in nursing education.
Nature of Work: The Curriculum Specialist will work with the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies, the Graduate Chair, the Nurse Practitioner Program Academic Lead, and the members of the Graduate Programs Team. The Curriculum Specialist will report to the Associate Dean Research and Graduate Studies.
Typical Duties or Accountabilities:
Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in a related field, preferably in a health profession or in health education. Experience working closely with development teams creating new projects/curriculum development is a strong asset for this role. Knowledge of graduate nursing education represents another asset.
Skills: In this role, the incumbent will work with many individuals and teams. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with faculty, staff, graduate students, and other stakeholders is foundational to the success of this project and integral to this role.
