Job Description- Curriculum Production Specialist

Division / Department: Learner Experience Center of Excellence / Curriculum

Reports to (position): Curriculum Operations Manager

Leadership Level: Individual Contributor

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not supervise the work of others

Location: Telecommute

Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt

Minimum Educational Required: Bachelor’s degree

Years of Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience, or a combination of related experience and education

Members of the Curriculum Department work together to create and maintain a library of high-quality content delivered via online platforms. The Curriculum Production Specialist is primarily responsible for publishing course content in the company’s Learning Management System (LMS) and Content Management System (CMS), formatting the material for visual appeal, and testing functionality.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

• Builds online courseware in the company’s LMS according to specifications outlined in project documents, such as text-based storyboards (primarily from Microsoft Word), course exports, exam banks, and other digital assets

• Configures courseware in the company's CMS to maintain an up-to-date eLearning catalog in alignment with the current product strategy.

• Performs quality reviews of courseware ensuring functionality and development requirements are met, identifying, and addressing issues in collaboration with other curriculum team members

• Reviews work performed by contractors, correcting issues discovered during the review, to ensure quality standards are met

• Identifies LMS bugs and enhancement opportunities working with IT and department management to prioritize technical requests, tests code to be pushed to the LMS, and trains curriculum team members on LMS functionality.

• Updates course content (e.g., fixing broken links, typos, text updates, etc.) within the LMS based on team and student feedback

• Supports administrative functions related to offering and maintaining content through the LMS, such as course prints, exam downloads, etc.

• Meticulous attention to detail

• Deadline conscious

Technical Skills Required:

• Comfortable with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

• Proficiency with M365 suite of products (Word, Excel, etc.)

• Proficiency with WYSIWYG editors/interfaces

• Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Comfortable with project management software

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not supervise the work of others.
