Essential Qualifications & Experience:

The minimum qualification requirement is a Master's degree in Hospitality and Tourism with a dissertation topic focused on Hospitality.
·
Two years’ experience in curriculum development and assessment design
·
Experience developing programmes for the contact and distance delivery modes
·
Experience in evaluating curriculum content for active learning and project-based assessments
·
Familiar with educational technology and e-learning methodologies
·
Experience within the hospitality industry
·
Experience in the development of finance and/or culinary learning material.
·
Industry experience as a chef, and/or a proven record of successfully completed Finance or Accounting modules reflected on an academic transcript.
·
Demonstrated passion for the culinary arts and/or hospitality accounting and finance.

Proficient in the use of the MS Office Suite and Learning Management System (LMS)

Develop new curriculum/module/short course content, assessment tasks/project-based assessments, rubrics and learning journeys applied to the LMS
ii.
Review and affect changes for improvement to current curriculum/module/short course content, assessment tasks/project-based assessments in line with the NQF level, purpose, outcomes and programme design requirements.

Review prescribed and recommended resources
iv.
Conduct and analyse stakeholder feedback/data to inform enhancements

Collaborating with the campus academic teams

Work closely with the Assessment Manager to ensure assessment standards for programmes are met

Collaborating with the Instructional Design team

Adjust module mapping to effect any changes
ix.
Inform of changes to institutional policies and processes
x.
Provide input into the marketing collateral for new/existing programmes
xi.
Adhere to curriculum development timelines, review cycles, and project deadlines.
