The Ministry of Education and Childcare supports students, parents, teachers and administrators from Early Childhood Services (ECS) through Grade 12. The Ministry has the following responsibilities: develop curriculum and set standards; evaluate curriculum and assess outcomes; teacher development and certification; support students with diverse learning needs; fund and support school boards; First Nations, Métis and Inuit and francophone education; and oversee basic education policy and regulations.
Curriculum Division
Curriculum Division provides strategic leadership in establishing provincial standards and guidelines for curriculum for all subjects and grades Kindergarten to Grade 12. As part of the ministry’s ongoing focus on student learning, the division develops, reviews, revises and maintains provincial curriculum and associated learning and teaching resources in English and French.

About the Role
In this role, you will collaborate with educators, health partners, cultural communities, and education stakeholders across the province to create research informed curriculum and policy that reflects Alberta’s diverse learners—including Francophone and First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspectives. Your work will support high-quality curriculum design, smooth implementation, and continuous improvement to ensure students are prepared for lifelong wellbeing and success.

Master's Degree in Education or a related field plus five years related experience or equivalent as described below.
Equivalency: Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus seven years of related experience.

This is a temporary full-time position working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This position is located in Edmonton.
