The Teaching & Curriculum Development Centre (TCDC) encourages innovation and excellence in curriculum development and program design; supports faculty in maintaining and improving Langara's high standards of teaching and learning; and fosters intercultural awareness and understanding in a collegial environment with services, resources, and activities to meet the College’s educational goals.
The Curriculum Consultant, Indigenization Specialist, provides expertise, support, and guidance in embedding an awareness of Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing into instruction and curriculum at Langara. Reporting to the Department Chair, Teaching and Curriculum Development Centre (TCDC), the Indigenization Specialist is part of the TCDC faculty and works closely with academic departments, the Indigenous Education & Services department, and the Centre for Intercultural Engagement. The Curriculum Consultant, Indigenization Specialist guides faculty members and departments in the development of curriculum that enhances knowledge of Indigenous histories, perspectives, methodologies, and cultural practices; develops resources and facilitates workshops for faculty members about Indigenization; supports the program review process with a view to Indigenizing curriculum across the College; and works closely with colleagues across the institution to assist in building capacity in Indigenization, decolonization, and reconciliation.

Salary Range:
$46.06 - $94.99
Salary Range Placement: Salary placement is on Langara instructors’ salary scale in accordance with qualifications and experience.
