Curriculum and Instruction Office
Work schedule, compensation, and duration of the assignment will be established by the district. This is a temporary, part-time position intended to provide additional support to the Curriculum and Instruction Office and district staff.
The K�12 Curriculum and Instruction Specialist will support the Curriculum and Instruction Office in strengthening high-quality teaching and learning across the district. The specialist will provide ongoing, non-evaluative support to teachers, mentor new teachers, facilitate professional learning, and assist with the implementation of district curriculum, instructional practices, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will be an experienced educational leader with a strong background in curriculum, instruction, professional development, and school improvement.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to administrators, public groups/community, and board of education.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
Knowledge, skill and ability in the use of e-mail, internet, power point, spreadsheets and word processing.
