Summary of Job Duties:

Under direct supervision, provides accurate and timely troubleshooting of security system and network cabling components. Perform installations of electronic control systems, which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, communication, cable management, electronic locks, Wi-Fi locks, network switches, point sensors, signaling devices and associated hardware. Responds to situations where systems have failed and action must be taken to isolate or repair problem equipment, software, or make configuration changes to return systems to full functionality. This position participates in a group 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year on-call rotation where each member of the group takes call for 1 week at a time.

Qualifications:

Education, general:

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Post Graduate degree

Education, special or professional: Computer Science or related field of study

Experience, length in years and kind:

Licenses, certificates, or registration: Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

Required to be on-call and to respond immediately to trouble calls outside of general work hours. Work occasionally may require in excess of eight hours per day. Rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Workload pressure will regularly subject incumbent to moderate to high job-related stress. All incumbents must have a valid driver's license and have a clean driving history.
