Culinary Supervisor (Pizza) - State Farm Arena/Levy Restaurants

Starting Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour. This is not a tipped position.

Schedule: Part time event-based schedule. Open availability preferred. Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Must be able to work all Hawks home games.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 3 years of culinary experience in a high volume kitchen. At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred. The canidate will have experience with pizza dough, ovens, and pizza production. Experience working in a pizza concept, Italian kitchen is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of culinary experience in ahigh-volume restaurant, pizza concept, or Italian kitchen
• Previous supervisory, lead, or trainer experience in a kitchen environment preferred
• Experience with pizza dough preparation, pizza ovens, and high-volume pizza production preferred
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
• Experience with prep lists, pars, and kitchen production planning
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve during busy service periods
• Experience in sports & entertainment, catering, hotels, or high-volume venues is a plus

The Pizza Culinary Supervisor will be overseeing pizza production, supervising team members, and ensuring operational excellence in a high-volume environment. This position works closely with the Chef team to execute menu items, maintain food safety standards, and deliver a high-quality guest experience during events at State Farm Arena.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Advises management of purchasing requirements with a focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages.
• Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Operates and cleans equipment in accordance with department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates food items according to policy; maintains established food rotations in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Operates food-service equipment in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
• Helps serves meals; remains present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer comments and feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
