Allowance:625 euro per month (40hrs, 5 days) & full reimbursement of travel expenses

Location:Nijmegen

Join theCulinary R&D team in Nijmegenin exploringanddiscoveringnew unforgettabletastefor our Taste Elevation category (sauces) andMealscategory. You will be working with a team of R&D chefs, exploring new tastes,techniquesor technologies that should deliver the KHC innovations of the future

The candidate will have thegreat opportunityto work in an industrial environment withvery strongculinaryexpertise They will be able to see the direct impact of a chef'sexpertiseand creativity to unlock strong business value. The candidate will be working in collaboration with a team of chefs fromdifferent backgroundsand nationalities.

In addition, the intern will beparticipatingin theday to dayofthe Kitchenlife and will be supporting the chefs on their daily projects. It will give the intern the opportunity to see a large spectrum of Chefs work in the food industry

Basic Requirements for all: 

You should havestrong communicationskills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement but other languages are a plus) 

  • EU - Students: Need to be enrolled at a Dutch university for at least 50% of the duration of the internship

  • Non - EU Students: Need to be enrolled at a Dutch University for the whole duration of the internship.

NOTE: EU working rights arerequired(Either you have EU Citizenship, you are studying in the Netherlands or have relevant student work visa) 

Projects:

  • USP (Unique Selling Points)/ R2B (Reason-To-Believe) Framework

  • Technology platform exploration – Taste Elevation

USP (Unique Selling Points) / RTB (ReasonsToBelieve) Framework

Assignments and key activities:

  • Intern will focus on buildingand testinga framework for Unique Selling Points (USP) and Reasons to Believe (RTB) for our core Away-From-Home portfolio

  • The overall outcome should be about delivering insights and inspiration for the existing portfolio

  • The project will alsolook intodocumenting and presenting these insights to key marketing and sales stakeholders

  • Additionally, they will have the chance to work alongside KHC Innovation Team creating new products and host food ideas

Specific Team Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master student in Culinary with classes on food design or food innovation

  • Besides food design, recipe design, culinary skills, digital communication skills are a requirement

  • Previousexperience with communications, social media coordination is a bonus

  • Experience in a restaurant and the food industry is a plus

  • You can communicate fluently in English, are creative and can work independently and in a team.

Technology platform exploration – Taste Elevation

Assignments and key activities:

  • During the internship you will focus on specifictechniquetechnology(ies) to understand the impact of the technology on our products, its added value, and challenges as well as its versatility

  • The overall outcome should be about delivering insights on the performance of the technology as well as the value proposition it can deliver to our consumer going forward.

  • The project will also look at the implementation of thetechnologythrough prototypes and host foodswith the purposeto markettheseinitiativesinternally

  • Additionally, you will have the chance to work alongside KHC Innovation Team creating new products and sharing ideas

Specific Team Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master student in Culinary or Chef with classes on food design or food innovation

  • Interested in fast-moving consumer goods industry

  • Culinary skills are prerequisite

  • Experience in a restaurant and the food industry is a plus

  • You can communicate fluently in English, are creative and can work independently and in a team

  • You want to share your ideas and are eager for feedback
