About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and execution-driven Chief Technology Officer to join our client, an AI-driven platform helping SMBs increase revenue through better understanding and activation of customer behavior.

This is not an early-stage build—core systems are already in production. However, the platform is at a critical stage where the challenge is no longer building features, but making the system reliable, cohesive, and scalable.

In this role, you will take full ownership of the technology, stepping into an existing codebase to identify gaps, resolve inconsistencies, and drive the system toward a state of stability and performance. You will operate across the full stack, making pragmatic decisions, debugging real production issues, and enabling the team to execute with clarity and speed.

Responsibilities:

1. 
   Take full ownership of the existing system and its performance in production
2. 
   Identify and resolve structural issues across backend, frontend, data, and AI layers
3. 
   Drive the system from almost working to consistently reliable and scalable
4. 
   Make pragmatic architectural decisions under real-world constraints
5. 
   Debug and resolve production issues hands-on when needed
6. 
   Unblock engineers and elevate overall technical execution and quality
7. 
   Ensure the system supports a complete loop: behavior incentives transactions data learning
8. 
   Prepare the platform for scalability across infrastructure, product, and operations

Requirements:

• 
  English proficiency (C1-C2 level).
• 
  Impeccable attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• 
  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 
  Proven experience building and operating production systems
• 
  Experience working in high-ambiguity startup environments
• 
  Strong full-stack capability (backend, frontend, data, infrastructure, AI integrations)
• 
  Ability to operate across architecture, coding, debugging, and decision-making autonomously
• 
  Previous experience as CTO, Head of Engineering, or senior IC with end-to-end ownership
• 
  Experience with modern stacks (Node.js / Python, React / Next.js, SQL / NoSQL, AWS / GCP, OpenAI APIs)
• 
  Comfortable working in remote, distributed teams with high autonomy
