About the Role

A leading regional healthcare provider known for patient-centric care is seeking a skilled CT/MRI Technologist to join their diagnostic imaging team in the greater Chicago, Illinois area. This is a full-time permanent position within a well-resourced imaging department committed to delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic results in a safe and patient-focused environment. The ideal candidate holds active credentials in both CT and MRI and brings clinical confidence across a varied patient population including routine and emergent cases.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform CT and MRI examinations across a broad range of clinical indications including neurological, musculoskeletal, abdominal, and vascular imaging
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process clearly and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout
  • Operate CT and MRI equipment in accordance with established protocols, adjusting technical parameters to optimize image quality for each study
  • Administer contrast media per protocol and monitor patients for adverse reactions
  • Screen MRI patients thoroughly for contraindications and maintain strict MR safety standards at all times
  • Document procedures accurately in the radiology information system and PACS
  • Collaborate with radiologists, ordering physicians, and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate study completion
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, equipment maintenance checks, and department education programs

Required Qualifications

  • ARRT registration in Radiography required; advanced certification in CT (ARRT CT) required
  • MRI certification (ARRT MRI or ARMRIT) required or strong willingness to obtain within an agreed timeline
  • Minimum of 2 years of CT experience in an acute care or hospital-based imaging setting
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Solid understanding of radiation safety, contrast protocols, and MR safety screening procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment managing both scheduled and emergent imaging requests
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available
