As a CT Technologist, you will produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of various medical issues. Utilizing your advanced training and knowledge, you will accurately interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare andoperatethe equipment, and position the patient to capture theappropriate images This role is critical in the overall treatment of our patients, making you an invaluable asset to the Cleveland Clinic system.

As a CT Technologist on this team, you will work24hours perweekyetget paid for 32 hours of work,working daytime weekend shifts While youremainat a part-time status, you will be eligible for tuition reimbursement,excellenthealthcarebenefits, and access toadditionalprograms within the organization
A caregiver in this position works6:30am—7:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Check and prepare patients prior to CT study.
Acquireand review patient chart data/requisition todeterminecorrect room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems/contraindications to the study and verify the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs.
Assure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Educate patientsregardingprocedure,equipmentandexamto ensure understanding and cooperation.
Perform daily QA.
Assistwith scheduling of patients as needed.
Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications.
Performvenipunctureas necessary.
Maintain all aspects of the CT area to ensure proper quality assurance results, maintenance of required documentation and state of inspection readiness and compliance (e.g., JCAHO, ODH, etc.).
Acquire, archive,transmitand print images via PACS.
Be knowledgeable in billing via RIS.
Observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems toappropriate individuals
Cover other modalities, sites and/or locations as needed.
Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and Radiology students.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing
Certification in Computed Tomography [R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)]requiredwithin one year of hire
Current state licensure
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
