Highlights:
The Computerized Tomography (CT) Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic computerizedtomography (CT) scanning procedures with knowledge of all pertinent technical areas to produce consistent,high-quality examinations. Maintains all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements. Thisindividual works with the other Technologists in the department to ensure procedures are performed efficiently,effectively and with the highest level of quality and concern for each patient.
Education / Experience Graduate of a school of Diagnostic Radiography. Minimu 2 years experience in Radiology.
License / Certification Active ARRT in Radiography and CT required, BLS required,
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient computer and typing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to take ownership of issue or project and ensure that resolution occurs.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Position requires sitting for 50% of the workday and mobility 50% of the workday.
There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.
Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.
There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
Much exposure to computer work.
Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
