Work Shift Full Time

The Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team(WESTTeam)supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities.Region One includes KennestoneHospital,North FultonHospital, &Windy Hill

As aCTTechnologist for Region One, youwillapply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve.If you prefer a role that avoids routine, lets you use your full skill set, and provides straightforward pay,this could be a strong fit

Pay

In return for stepping in where you’re needed most, Float Pool members earn a higher base rateandmay be eligible for afloat incentive.

Schedule & Incentives

Float Pooltechnologistshave clarity and choice:

  • This full-time position offersa $20,000 sign-on bonus

  • Multiple shift options availabletoself-schedule up to 8 weeks in advance

  • Monthly schedule includes 2 Monday shifts, 2 Friday shifts, and 3 weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)

  • This position is eligible forfull-time benefits

Required Qualifications

  • Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

  • Experience

  • Minimum2years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting

  • Minimum2years ofCTexperience in a hospital setting

  • Certifications

  • ARRT-R (Radiography)

  • ARRT-CT(Computed Tomography)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

CoreResponsibilities

  • Perform CT exams per physician orders, department protocols, and safety standards.

  • Verify patient identity, obtain relevant history, and screen for contraindications (including contrast risk).

  • Explain procedures clearly using AIDET and communicate with patients/families with empathy and confidence.

  • Prepare and position patients; assist with mobility, safe transfers, and use immobilization/shielding as needed.

  • Establish IV access using sterile technique and maintain venipuncture competency.

  • Administer contrast media safely and monitor patients for adverse reactions; escalate concerns promptly.

  • Operate CT scanners and power injectors safely; confirm proper anatomical markers and scan parameters.

  • Optimize technique to achieve diagnostic image quality while minimizing radiation dose (ALARA).

  • Evaluate image quality, recognize urgent findings/clinical changes, and involve the radiologist/physician when indicated.

  • Complete documentation accurately and on time; manage RIS entries, PACS uploads, and CDs/logs when required.

  • Perform, document, and follow through on QC checks, calibration verification, and compliance/audit standards.

  • Maintain smooth daily operations by prioritizing workload, supporting cross-coverage/clerical needs, keeping rooms stocked and equipment cleaned/disinfected, participating in on-call, and adhering to regulatory/Joint Commission standards.
