Job Description

Purpose:

To manage an assigned portfolio of high net worth client accounts providing advice and relationship support ensuring optimal service, while integrating all products, services and resources, to ensure that their needs are met, thereby achieving the defined revenue targets through retention of existing business and acquisition of new business, in order to maximise the companies profitability.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree/equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Law, CFP or related field. Completion of FAIS regulatory exams.
  • An MBA would be a preferred qualification for the role.
  • Minimum of 5 years client facing banking experience in private banking/private wealth/investment banking/commercial banking, with a good understanding of operational and administrative processes as well as risk and compliance standards and with a focus on maintaining high standards of service and problem resolution.
  • Customer Understanding :The ability to analyse customer needs by engaging with them, analysing their personal financial objectives as well as their current financial position.
  • Product Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of the features, benefits and pricing of the products and services on offer to personal banking customers across multiple customer segments.
  • Client Retention: Ability to retain existing customers or clients, diagnose their needs and present product feature and benefits to retain their business.
  • Client Servicing : The ability to respond to client requirements, queries and complaints and log order entries into relevant company system.
  • Mind of Customer Experience: Within the Bank Customer Experience Framework, is competent and skilled to enhance the customer experience: the ability to educate a customer.
  • Cross and Up-selling: Ability to assess client current product utilisation, client changing requirements with ability to up-sell, cross sell or advise product changes.
