Job Description

Objective:
In this role, the Material Expeditor will be responsible for order processing and fulfillment of customer orders. This role includes working with other warehouse team members.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and track the status of purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
  • Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to address and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Expedite critical or delayed materials to support production schedules.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory control and efficient distribution.
  • Maintain accurate records of material movement, purchase orders, and supplier interactions.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the procurement and supply chain process.
  • Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, and engineering teams to meet project requirements.
  • Generate and analyze reports to assess material flow and recommend process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding materials and supply chain management.

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a material expeditor, supply chain coordinator, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations is a plus.
