Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join us as a KYC Support in our SEA team. This role supports primarily account onboarding KYC activities within the SEA team to ensure compliance with AML/CFT, Sanctions and Tax regulatory requirements as well as client risk profiling related matters. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for new accounts, including and not limited to background checks of prospects, source of wealth verification and name screening.
  • Review and corroborate customer's source of wealth (SOW) information submitted by CRO, in accordance to regulatory requirement as well as Group AML/CFT policy and procedures
  • Support Front Office in preparing compliant-ready client profile for onboarding and review purposes
  • Work with Front Office to address queries from Compliance on account opening submissions till account is approved
  • Assist Front Office in the review of name searches on prospects’ profile and provide clear and compliant-quality dispositions of name hits.
  • Assess and perform annual periodic review on existing accounts .
  • Provide general support on onboarding related tasks as assigned.

Skills Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Client Onboarding, KYC, CDD or AML functions
  • AML experience in Private Banking environment is essential
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, Sanctions and Tax due diligence requirements
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements pertaining to KYC/AML in a Private Banking setting, e.g., MAS 626. customer SOW due diligence etc
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with Front Office stakeholders.
  • Tertiary education in a relevant discipline.
  • Meticulous, analytical and able to work effectively with Front Office and Compliance stakeholders
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
