Saab Australia is an industry participant in the Combat Systems Integration – Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Collaboration Agreement (CSI-IPT CCA). The CSI-IPT CCA forms a collaborative enterprise organisation to execute scopes of work across Hobart Class Destroyer (SEA4000 Phase 6 and other related Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) upgrades) and the Hunter Class Frigates (HCFs - SEA5000 Phase 1). This will see independently executed programs such as SEA4000 Phase 6 and SEA5000 Phase 1 brought under one umbrella enterprise organisation, the CSI-IPT.
The CSI-IPT will be built up with personnel from three industry participants and the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) to form a collaborative team working across multiple programs to leverage synergies between platforms.
The DDG Modernisation program will incorporate Aegis Baseline 9, the Australian Interface, and the Tomahawk Weapon System onto the DDG platform. The succeeding verification program of these systems will encompass installation, set-to-work, harbour, and sea Acceptance test phases.
The DDG CSI Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer will contribute to the delivery of the team outputs such as test planning, sequencing, asset coordination and execution for designated Acceptance tests, including quality control over activation tests to ensure they meet their requirements and are fit for purpose. In addition they will be part of the team responsible for preparation and execution of System Readiness Reviews (SRR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and Verification Review Boards (VRB), as well as providing support to materiel readiness through Material Review Boards (MRB).
