Job Description

We're seeking a highly motivated Import Coordinator (m/f/d) to manage and streamline the ZIM process for our customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accessible, efficient, and friendly support, ensuring seamless and high-quality booking experience. They will proactively communicate with customers, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Additionally, the representative will offer alternative solutions as needed, ensuring quick and clear responses to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate booking confirmations and ensure space availability on vessels
• Complete clearance procedures and ensure accurate data entry for all shipments.
• Oversee the full booking process, including land transportation planning for exports.
• Communicate with internal departments such as Documentation, Vessel Planning, and Sales to ensure booking requirements are met
• Maintain proactive communication with customers to address inquiries and provide ongoing support.
• Monitor vessel schedules and proactively inform customers of changes, delays, or cancellations.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Support the Documentation team with required booking-related information.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of routing options, port restrictions, and carrier services.

Requirements

• Relevant professional experience in forwarding, liner agency or related field.
• Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of success.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both internal departments and external clients.
• Excellent organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt with a flexible, "can-do" attitude and work effectively as a team player.
• Familiarity with shipping portals and knowledge of INCOTERMS
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in Dutch and English languages is required.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office.
