This role sits between engineering and operations, with a strong focus on incident management, request fulfillment, and SLA-driven delivery.

This individual will provide critical onshore operational support, helping manage workload, resolve incidents, and ensure consistent execution across a hybrid team of engineers and offshore operations resources. The ideal candidate is both hands-on and operationally strong, with experience in PKI and certificate management platforms.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own day-to-day service delivery, ensuring incidents, requests, and changes are completed within SLAs
  • Triage and resolve certificate-related issues, including expirations, break/fix scenarios, and escalations
  • Provide hands-on support for certificate, key, and secret lifecycle management (issuance, renewal, installation)
  • Support platforms such as Venafi, DigiCert, and Azure Key Vault
  • Perform QA on operational work and ensure consistency in service delivery
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and documentation
  • Partner with engineering, PKI, and security teams to support operations and improvements
  • Assist with workload management, reporting, and mentoring junior/offshore team members

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • 3–5+ years of experience in PKI, certificate operations, or cryptographic support
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Venafi, Keyfactor, DigiCert, or similar platforms
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault, AWS KMS, or similar key management solutions
  • Strong experience in operations, incident management, and ticket-based environments (ServiceNow or similar)
  • Solid understanding of PKI concepts (SSL/TLS, certificates, lifecycle management)
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience supporting service delivery in a hybrid onshore/offshore model
  • Familiarity with domain validation, certificate automation, and PKI infrastructure
  • Experience building runbooks, SOPs, and operational processes
  • Exposure to scripting or automation (PowerShell, APIs)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This position has the potential to earn compensation in the range of $130,000 - $160,000 annually based on location and job-related factors such as skillset and experience. Actual rate may vary within the range provided, depending on a number of factors, including skillset, experience and location.
