Job Description

Toromont Cat is looking for a Crushing Service Advisor to join our team! This position will provide technical direction and accountability for scheduling all equipment repairs with both the internal and external teams within the service operations, while maintaining good communication with customers throughout the repair cycle as required. The Service Advisor will also collaborate with the Supervisor and Coordinator to ensure quotes, timelines and process flow are maintained to support accurate and timely WIP (work-in-progress) processing.

$59,025.00 to $73,783.00

The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available.

In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Coordinate service activities for crushing equipment including emergency breakdowns, planned maintenance, inspections, rebuilds, and commissioning projects.
  • Schedule technicians, contractors, and support resources to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Create, organize, and maintain work orders, service documentation, quotations, and project records.
  • Work closely with Crushing Service Supervisors, Branch Service Teams, Product Support Representatives (PSRs), and customers to ensure timely execution of service work.
  • Monitor equipment downtime and prioritize service activities to minimize customer production losses.
  • Coordinate parts availability, tooling requirements, and logistics for field service activities.
  • Review technician service reports for completeness, accuracy, and billing requirements.
  • Support warranty administration, technical investigations, and goodwill claims in accordance with manufacturer and company requirements.
  • Track ongoing jobs and work-in-progress (WIP) to support accurate invoicing and profitability.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the repair process, providing updates on timelines, scope changes, and equipment status.
  • Support machine commissioning, startup activities, and equipment delivery projects.
  • Assist with service planning for major shutdowns, crusher relocations, liner change-outs, and plant maintenance programs.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with all company and customer site safety requirements.

Must-haves for this role:

  • Post-secondary education in a technical, mechanical, mining, aggregates, construction, or related field is considered an asset.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in crushing, screening, heavy equipment, mining, aggregates, or industrial service operations.
  • Strong understanding of crushing and screening equipment, including jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers, screens, feeders, and conveyors.
  • Experience coordinating field service or maintenance activities.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and service management systems.
  • Bilingual (English and French)
