Sounds great – what’s the role in a nutshell?

The main tasks of our Cruise Director are to communicate and delegate functions to ensure a luxury service on board. Capitan’s and other collaborators directly associated with the hospitality area. Leadership is essential to exert a healthy influence on the team in charge.

The Day to Day:

-Exercise leadership in handling crew members’ responsibilities.

-Ensure guests’ satisfaction in every of their request.

-Coordinate with the captain about the voyage to be made.

-Carry out the briefings to passengers.

-Prepare the operational report on incidents.

-Be in charge of closing consumptions of POS.

• Prepare and control annual budgets for the entire hospitality area
• Carry out follow-up on the projected task and routines through master books and digital media.

-Based on ISM certification: Be responsible for the evacuation of all passengers on the ship in case of emergency. Supervise compliance with the stipulated system standards.

• Promote environmental initiatives and help maintain focus and direction with regards to Aqua Expeditions' team effort towards environmental conservation and social responsibility.

What are we looking for?

• English speaker or native level proficiency.
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Technical or Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Hospitality or Tourism Management.
• Mandatory to have "Libreta de embarco de Director a bordo".
• Min. 3 years of work experience in luxury hospitality or cruise industry.
• Proven track record of leadership with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Proficient in computer skills and numeracy.
• You enjoy speaking and sharing your knowledge with customers.
• Customer Service capabilities, able to deal with a variety of clients and strong multi-tasking skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to plan ahead.
• Immediate availability.
