Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP) is strengthening its commercial focus in Visby, and we are now looking for a dedicated
Cruise Commercial Manager to drive the future growth of our cruise business.
This is a unique opportunity to shape and develop Visby as one of the leading cruise destinations in the Baltic and Northern Europe.
As Cruise Commercial Manager, you will take full ownership of CMP’s cruise commercial activities in Visby, focusing on business development, destination marketing and sales, and stakeholder engagement. The role is key to unlocking the full potential of the destination by driving growth, increasing calls and passenger volumes, improving passenger visitation experience and strengthening partnerships across the industry.
You will work closely with cruise lines, local stakeholders, tourism partners, and internal teams to enhance the value proposition of Gotland, ensuring a competitive and attractive destination for global cruise operators.
Your main areas of responsibility:
· Drive commercial growth and identify new business opportunities
· Build and develop strong relationships with cruise lines and other stakeholders
· Lead marketing and destination‑promotion activities, both internationally and locally
· Support contract negotiations and contribute to the commercial strategy
· Support the development of the local cruise product as well as the customer and visitor experience in Visby
To be successful in the role, you will need:
· Several years of experience in commercial and sales roles, preferably within the cruise and tourism industry,
destination promotion and marketing
· Strong commercial acumen with a focus on growth, profitability, and value creation
· Excellent relationship‑building skills and a solid understanding of the cruise and tourism industry
· A high degree of independence, initiative, and personal drive
· Very strong proficiency in both Swedish and English, spoken and written
An academic degree in business, sales, marketing, tourism, or a comparable relevant field is considered a merit.
You will play a key role in positioning Visby for future growth and in maximizing the value of cruise operations in the years ahead.

Additional information
The position is a permanent, full‑time role based in Visby. A six‑month probationary period will apply. Start date as soon as possible.

Port development is vital for CMP. A new container terminal as well as a new cruise terminal will be established in Ydre Nordhavn in Copenhagen within the next few years. In Malmö, the new industrial park has been established and in april 2018 our new cruise terminal in Visby was opened.
