Join a transformative nine-week undergraduate internship that bridges the gap between scientific research, sustainable agriculture, and community leadership. Inspired by the Learning Streams International model, CROP prepares the next generation of environmental stewards through rigorous study and hands-on mentoring.
Weeks 1–7: Interdisciplinary Research & Training
Interns engage in hybrid training sessions led by experts in higher education, organic farming, and environmental advocacy. You will conduct field research focused on the vital interconnections between land, water, and sustainable economics
Weeks 8–9: Leadership & Near-Peer Mentoring (NPM)
Transition into a leadership role as a near peer mentor at the Roots, Rivers, and Reclamation (3R’s) Institute at Hiram College. You will lead a learning community of high school students and teachers, translating your research into community action during a 6-day residential program.
The compensation is $15.83 per hour.
Room and board at Hiram College for the duration of the program is provided.
