Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management Operations, the CRM Administrator Level I is responsible for the day-to-day operational functions, user support, and routine maintenance of the university’s Salesforce and TargetX CRM. This role acts as the primary line of defense for student and staff error resolution, daily troubleshooting, and data cleanliness. Ideal for a professional newer to the CRM administration field (or possessing 2 years of general database experience), this position focuses on maintaining system health, executing communication plans, and learning advanced administration under the guidance of senior leadership while working cross-functionally across campus offices.

Salary Range: $46,000 - $50,000 (Commensurate with experience)

Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesUser Support & System Health Monitor the daily health of the CRM, manage user permissions, and provide hands-on training and troubleshooting to resolve user errors for admissions and student support staff through high customer service.● Routine Configuration & Automation Assist in building and maintaining standard Salesforce Flows, monitoring legacy Process Builders/Workflows, and fulfilling ad-hoc system requests from supported offices.

Data Hygiene & Imports Manage routine data integrity by executing data imports from internal and external sources. Maintain standard report logic to support dashboards, recruitment campaigns, and basic enrollment analytics.● Form & Communication Maintenance Support the configuration of application forms, RFIs, surveys, and events using Form Assembly and TargetX. Apply basic CSS and HTML to support user interfaces and URL manipulation.● Marketing Support Work directly with the Marketing and Communications office and Admission teams to build out standard communication campaigns and monitor day-to-day email functionality.

Other Duties & ResponsibilitiesSystem Documentation: Update and maintain end-user training guides and internal system documentation to reflect process updates. Cycle Prep Support Assist with the annual refresh of application forms and field management systems ahead of new recruitment cycles. Compliance & Safety: Observe university safety guidelines, follow established safety procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Education: Associate's Degree or specialized CRM certification (Salesforce Administrator) required. Preferred areas of study include business, technology, computer science, project management, or mathematics. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on experience with configuring and administering CRM systems required (Salesforce preferred). Exposure to higher education processes or managed packages like TargetX is highly valued.
  • Preferred: TargetX EndUser Certification, Form Assembly certification, or Trailhead badges.

Essential Knowledge & Skills

  • Customer Service & Attention to Detail: Exceptional customer service skills with a patient, analytical approach to troubleshooting end-user technical frustrations.
  • Foundational Technical Skills: Familiarity with Salesforce core structure (objects, fields, security), basic Flow logic, and introductory knowledge of web languages (HTML, CSS, Visualforce pages).
  • Adaptability & Independence: Ability to work independently with limited supervision, manage multiple tasks through frequent interruptions, and read reference manuals to propose creative solutions.
  • Teamwork: A creative, approachable, and collaborative work style that meets campus partners where they are and values coalition building.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Light work. Light work involves lifting no more than 20 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities.
  • Medium work. Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Heavy work. Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
