About the opportunity
Werribee Mercy Hospital is a public hospital servicing the growing community of the West. Our Intensive care unit provides care to patients with a variety of medical, surgical and non-invasive cardiac conditions. Our service also includes a 24 hours clinical liaison service, rapid response service and clinical educator to facilitate professional development opportunities. Expansion of our service is included in the organisation growth strategy which includes plans for a new Emergency Department due for completion in 2027 and other future developments leading towards becoming a Tertiary facility.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experience Critical Care Nurse to join our Intensive Care team.
Ensure the delivery of high quality, patient focused clinical care to patients in the ICU
Demonstrate excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Be part of a multi-disciplinary team which requires you to provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
Post Graduate qualification or equivalent in Critical Care Nursing is essential
Demonstrated experience in Critical Care Nursing
Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary diverse and innovative team
Demonstrate and practice within the core values of Mercy Health.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders both internally external stakeholders to facilitate patient care.
Work a rotating roster across AM/PM/Night Duty or 12 hour day/nights across a seven day roster.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
