PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • Central line placement

  • Arterial line placement

  • Chest tube placement

  • CT removal

  • Wound vac changes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Board: NCCPA certified

  • Licenses: Active New York license

  • Certifications: ACLS, NCCPA

  • Experience: Minimum ICU experience required; no new graduates

  • Other Qualifications: EPIC experience required; cardiac critical care or inpatient cardiology experience preferred

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient coverage for cardiac surgery ICU and step-down patients

  • Perform procedures including central lines, arterial lines, chest tube placement, CT removal, and wound vac changes

  • Manage phone consultations for all inpatients

  • Work autonomously with supervising physician and critical care physicians

  • Document care using EPIC EMR
