Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a Critical Care Physician to join its hospital-owned multi-specialty medical group in Redding, California. This opportunity offers a dedicated inpatient ICU practice, strong hospital support, and an attractive 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule that allows physicians to maintain excellent work-life balance.
The incoming physician will focus entirely on inpatient critical care management, working collaboratively with hospital specialists and ICU support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
Position Highlights
Hospital-owned multi-specialty medical group employment (W-2 or 1099 independent contractor option)
ICU-only practice — no outpatient responsibilities
2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule
12-hour day shifts
Average daily ICU census: ~7 patients
Visa sponsorship available (J-1, H-1B, O-1)
Replacement position within established ICU program
Practice Overview
Shasta Regional Medical Center serves the Northern California region with a full range of medical and surgical specialties. The hospital maintains a collaborative ICU environment supported by specialists and hospital resources to ensure comprehensive care for critically ill patients.
The incoming physician will join a supportive clinical environment focused on delivering high-quality ICU care with predictable scheduling and manageable patient volume.
What You'll Do
Provide inpatient ICU management and critical care services
Manage approximately 7 ICU patients per day
Perform critical care procedures based on physician credentials
Collaborate with hospital specialists and multidisciplinary ICU teams
Deliver high-quality patient-centered critical care
Schedule
Full-Time
2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule
12-hour day shifts
Call
No additional call responsibilities
Weekend Coverage
Included during scheduled ICU rotation
What We're Looking For
MD or DO with Critical Care training or experience
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Critical Care or Pulmonary/Critical Care preferred
Strong clinical judgment and collaborative approach to patient care
Visa sponsorship available
Compensation
Base salary: $550,000 – $600,000 annually (depending on experience and FMV)
Productivity bonus (flexible structure)
