Position Type: Full Time

As the Crisis Team Lead, you will oversee and monitor crisis team members who empower, uplift, and help others heal from the many forms of mental illness, trauma, or addiction.
To meet the increasing needs of our communities it is imperative that all team members understand and successfully reach and maintain the expected performance standard levels. In order to achieve total and sustainable success each person must do their part. Lighthouse will do its part in providing any and all necessary tools and training required to help team members be successful.
DEFINITION:
Under immediate to general supervision, this position performs advanced work to manage crisis team members service delivery in a crisis setting. The Director of Crisis Intervention and Stabilization supervises this position.

QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice or similar field approved by ODMHSAS; or
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in any field and proof of active progression toward obtaining a clinical licensure Master’s or Doctoral degree from a regionally accredited college or university recognized by the USDE.
- Current certification as a Behavioral Health Case Manager II as described in ODMHSAS Standards and Criteria for Certified Behavioral Health Case Managers 450:50-3-1 at hire.
- Two (2) years of Behavioral Health Case Manager II (BHCMII) experience required, two (2) years of BHCMII experience with Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers preferred.
- Considerable skill in working with people, in effectively treating social, emotional, and addiction problems, in expressing ideas clearly and concisely in written and oral form, in exercising good judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions.
- An expectation of core competencies in de-escalation and stabilization techniques, trauma informed care, and collaborative care, in relation to individuals with co-occurring disorders.
- Valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of crisis intervention and stabilization.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of social work and/or psychology and of current social and economic problems.
- Knowledge of rehabilitative approaches utilized with individuals diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness.
- Ability to evaluate situations and adopt an effective course of action, to delegate responsibilities, organize and present facts effectively.
- Ability to establish working relationships within an integrated team to coordinate and facilitate care by assessing client needs, evaluating treatment options, creating care plans, coordinating care with internal and external providers, and monitoring progress.
- Ability to work effectively and courteously with individuals and families from various cultures and backgrounds, and to exercise good clinical judgment.
- Knowledge of ODMHSAS certification requirement and CSU/URC Standards to effectively supervise and monitor the clinical work of crisis team members and assist in the formulation of workflows, protocols, and unit policies and procedures.
- Ability to function effectively as a member of the crisis leadership team to advocate for team member and client needs, implement needed changes, and provide professional accountability.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible and held accountable for the following duties:
- Provides interaction and communication with care teams, CSU, URC and other clinics, to coordinate the services provided by Lighthouse including discharge planning and transportation.
- Provides and/or participates in the onboarding and ongoing training of team members in collaboration with the Director of Crisis Intervention and the Directors of Crisis Stabilization.
- Provides effective and appropriate supervision by planning, organizing, and implementing new training and educational opportunities in conjunction with the Director of Crisis Intervention and the Directors of Crisis Stabilization.
- Ensures that the needs of clients are addressed in emergency situations by coordinating and/or arranging for the provision of crisis intervention services on all assigned shifts and in transitions from one level of care to another.
- Consults with the Performance Improvement Specialist and provides monitoring of clinical records to ensure compliance with Lighthouse expectations as well as state and federal requirements for clinical records.
- Serves as a model for and communicates the function, mission, and core values of Lighthouse to staff, clients and community partners.
- Actively participates in and contributes to staff planning, and evaluation of services and staff performance.
- Completes reports as assigned.
- Facilitates a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage those of other cultures of backgrounds.
- Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development seminars, and attending training and/or courses as required by Lighthouse and obtaining Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as required by state licensing and regulatory boards.
- Ensures clinical documentation of services according to established workflows in a thorough, accurate and timely manner.
- Must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel normally associated with this position.
- Must meet “satisfactory” expectations at any scheduled job performance evaluation, coaching and/or Performance Improvement Plans.
- Contributes to the overall success of Lighthouse Behavioral Wellness Centers by performing all other duties as assigned.
