Qualifications

Summary of Position:
The Crisis Stabilization Technician position provides supervisory, monitoring, and basic care functions for clients in crisis. The CSU Technician is required to work in a cooperative effort with other CSU staff to provide a safe, structured environment which promotes and facilitates overall health and wellness for clients with a continual focus on progress towards greater independence and less restrictive levels of care.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises and monitors client's compliance with house rules and behavioral expectations after consultation with Case Managers, Program Directors and Site Directors.
- May assist in the purchasing of foods and cleaning supplies under budgetary guidelines for the program.
- Follows weekly menus according to state and federal guidelines.
- Prepares meals according to established menus and/or monitors meal preparation by clients and compliance of clients with dietary guidelines.
- Monitors client's compliance with expectations related to personal hygiene and appearance.
- Completes household repairs when possible and if not, informs supervisory staff of any needed household repairs.
- May be required to provide transportation for clients related to recreational, shopping, medical and other needs after consultation with  supervisors.
- Documents client progress on a daily basis.
- Works with  clients towards achievement of psychosocial goals through groups and activities as well as individual meetings.
- Attends staff meetings as scheduled by Directors to discuss programmatic and resident-related issues.
- Conducts facility inspections as needed to monitor cleanliness and neatness of the entire facility and other issues related to TDMHSAS licensure guidelines.
- Cleans and repairs  facilities when possible to ensure compliance with TDMHSAS guidelines.
- Reports all problems related to client and client care to the Site Director.
- Conducts orientation to program with new clients on day of admission including reviewing rules, behavioral expectations, and outline of the residential psychosocial program.
- Participates in all required CAREY Program staff meeting and training events.
- Follows all guidelines outlined in the CAREY Policies and Procedures Manual including Corporate Compliance Policies.
- Is expected to have regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
Minimum

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Certification/Licensure:
Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Must acquire an F-endorsement within 30 days of hire date.
