This is a hybrid-remote position providing crisis counseling to individuals effected by a natural disaster in their community. Under the administrative and clinical supervision of the Team Lead, Crisis Counseling Program-Tennessee Recovery Project, the Crisis Counselor is responsible for providing resource connection, short term supportive counseling, long term counseling referrals and coping advice for those individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis related to the natural disaster (flood & tornadoes) that affected Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, and Montgomery Counties. This is a grant-funded position through February 2027.
Compensation: $25/hr
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in a related field of Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist preferred.
Experience as a Mental Health Counselor providing clinical screenings, crisis intervention services, or conducting clinical intake assessments preferred.
Valid driver's license is required.
