Job Description

The Media Communications & Coordination Department is seeking a skilled Crisis Communication Coordinator to join the Media Monitoring & Coordination Division. In this role, you will play a critical role in protecting Aramco’s reputation by ensuring the company is prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to any crisis or reputational challenge. Your responsibilities will include monitoring global media and social platforms, identifying emerging issues, and supporting the development and execution of crisis communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Aramco’s crisis communication activities, including crisis preparedness and media handling during crisis incidents.
  • Respond to incidents or issues that may damage the company’s reputation.
  • Prepare communication materials as needed during incidents or threats to the company’s brand.
  • Update the Crisis Communications Manual, obtain necessary approvals, and distribute copies to management on a monthly basis.
  • Assist business units with their Crisis Communications manuals and training needs.
  • Ensure the Corporate Communications emergency control room is fully operational.
  • Conduct weekly technology testing in coordination with the IT department.
  • Support strategic initiatives by developing and maintaining a comprehensive crisis communications plan.
  • Utilize available enterprise data and research, such as corporate reputation tracking and stakeholder insights, to inform communication strategies, content development, and engagement efforts.
  • Develop KPIs and metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of crisis communications strategies.
  • Provide expert advice and functional support on crisis media matters to senior leaders.
  • Participate in cross-functional crisis drills, offer support, and ensure accountability by reporting on attendance and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Media Relations, Risk Management, Journalism, or Crisis Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
  • Experience in developing and executing media and communication plans.
  • Proficiency in both English and Arabic.
