Waythrough was formed in 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Together, we’ve created one of the largest mental health and social support charities in England.
Every year, we support around 125,000 people through nearly 200 services – and it’s all made possible by our 3,500 brilliant staff and volunteers.
Are you passionate about helping others live safer, healthier, more independent lives? Join our team at Waythrough and support people facing challenges around mental health, substance use, housing or domestic abuse. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships and create lasting change.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recovery Navigator with a Criminal Justice focus to join the team. The team provides support and advice for individuals in a variety of Criminal Justice settings who are experiencing problematic substance use, to promote harm reduction, encourage ownership and promote positive change for the individual, their families, and the wider community.
In a multi-disciplinary approach working with partner agencies such as the Police, Probation, the Learning and Diversion team, Prisons, and many others, you will provide a targeted approach for service users, from harm reduction, brief interventions through to structured treatment, ensuring that every recovery journey is tailored to the individuals’ priorities, you will be working across a variety of Criminal Justice, such as Police custody, Courts and Secure estates. You will take a “whole person” holistic approach, ensuring that each individual’s package of support is personal, flexible and realistic, that it encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every individual.
We are committed to fair chances for all and making sure everyone can access the help and support they need to realise their full potential. By joining our teams of passionate, enthusiastic, and committed individuals, you will be contributing to making this happen. You can really make the difference by believing in our service users and their ability to make positive changes when they don’t always believe in themselves.
