The Office of Criminal Conflict & Civil Regional Counsel, First Region is seeking a full-time criminal attorney. This role is available in our Green Cove Springs, FL office who will be responsible for a criminal case load in Clay County Some travel for cases in Duval County may be required. The qualified applicant should have a minimum of three (3) years’ legal experience, preferably in Criminal Defense and must be a member in good standing with The Florida Bar. The Attorney will be required to represent clients in various types of court hearings, to include jury trials, non-jury trials, motion practice, and should have the motivation and ability to cover cases on multiple dockets. Such representation of clients would include client interviews, witness interviews, preparing witnesses for trial, research and writing legal documents and filings, and providing an ongoing assessment of the merits of a case. The position is a full time State of Florida position with attendant state benefits with a salary range commensurate with the successful applicant's experience.
