Job Description

Monitor flight progression for pilots and flight attendants. Ensures compliance with all FAA Flight/Duty regulations. Ensure crewmember placement for all flights while maintaining internal customer approach toward crewmembers.

While scheduling within FAR and Contractual Limitations ensures each flight is properly staffed with the appropriate complement of pilots and flight attendants to ensure performance standards of 99% and above.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for supervising crew manpower on a daily basis while ensuring daily operations from a crew staffing and crew tracking perspective meet all required performance criteria
  • Responsible for supervising Crew Schedulers, Crew Leads, Daily Planners and Crew Scheduling Trainer
  • Assists with the hiring of all Crew Scheduling staff members
  • Participates in the Crew Scheduling Training Programs and writing/revising Crew Scheduling training documentation
  • Ensures scheduling compliance with FAR's and both ALPA and AFA labor agreements
  • Interfaces and coordinates with System Operations Control Inc. as required and at the direction from the Director of System Operations Control
  • Complete and carry out employee performance evaluations
  • Complete and conduct corrective action and counseling
  • Assist with department personnel audits
  • Prepare and conduct Crew Scheduling Staffing/Operations call when directed by management and on weekends
  • Adjust schedules and issue junior assignments to maintain sufficient department staffing on a daily basis
  • Approve trades before/after hours and on weekends when Crew Resource Admin is not available
  • After hours and on-call support as needed
  • Travel for base visits and crewmember appreciation as well as at the request of management
  • Develop and assist with internal employee appreciation programs and events
  • Attend monthly supervisor meetings
  • Proficient with FLiCA functions and provide support to Crew Line Adjustments when directed by management
  • Assist with the testing of new systems/software
  • Assist with training department personnel in all new systems and/or programs
  • A key user of all new systems/software
  • Assist with training of department personnel with any pilot/flight attendant contract changes, CSOM procedure changes, and company policy changes
  • Interacts and works closely with Crew Payroll
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Crew Resources

Compensation

  • Hourly rate of $16.50- $22.50 per hour DOE
  • Plus bonuses and Flight Benefits

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree, 2-year business school or equivalent experience H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of FAR's Part 121 and Part 117
  • Excellent communication skills Willing to work varied schedule Ability to work overtime, as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Good listening skills Strong written and analytical ability required
  • Ability to analyze operational risk and effectively set up a team for success
  • Able to make quick decisions and multi-task
  • Ability to work in all Sabre programs including United and American reservation systems, and all third party software and programs
