Reports to: Shift Leaders


“DAIRY QUEEN” STORE

“Dairy Queen” stores are engaged in the business of retail food sales. Products sold include hamburgers, hot dogs, soft serve dairy products and beverages. There are over 6,800 “Dairy Queen” stores and/or “Dairy Queen” stores across North America and throughout the world which make it one of the oldest and most respected franchise systems. Your employer is DQ of Logan, Inc./Marietta Fan Food, Inc., a division of the Corby Leach Company.

Functions of Job

  • To create positive memories for all who touch DQ.
  • To ensure all of our Fans see a smiling crew and a clean store.
  • Understand the “why” behind everything we do is the Fan that we serve daily. • Start and complete transactions with the Fan. This includes the greeting, suggestive selling, product preparation, order coordination, cash transaction and
  • the closing.
  • Perform cleaning duties to include all areas of store: front counter, seating area, storeroom, dishes and utensils, walk-in cooler, parking lot, etc.
  • Possess and implement a general working knowledge of pumps, freezers and
  • other related machines and set up and operate the equipment properly. Have a basic understanding of the equipment needed to assure proper product preparation.
  • Stock supplies as needed for normal day’s usage.
  • Work as a “team” member to assure constant and consistent customer satisfaction.

  • Exhibit good manners, neat personal appearance, proper personal hygiene, and ability to work as a “team” member;
  • Have a positive attitude and desire to do the best possible job at all times;
  • Pursue learning and growth in your role.
  • Adhere to the established food handling procedures and meet any local

health regulations;

Hours

  • Work hours will include daytime, evening and weekend shifts. Shifts may start with setting up the store for the day’s operation or end with the complete cleanup of the store’s facilities. Attendance at crew meetings is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Consistent product portions.
  • Proper counter etiquette.
  • Quick, efficient service to the Fan.
  • Maintaining an adequate supply of materials on hand at all times.
  • Having a clear understanding of the food preparation procedures.
  • Creating and maintaining a positive atmosphere among crew and Fans.
  • Cleanliness in the work area and general upkeep of the store’s surroundings.
  • Carrying out any other assigned duties.

Work Conditions

  • Must have ability to:
  • Perform under pressure in a high volume restaurant including moving and
  • responding quickly for long periods of time.
  • Work in and out of different temperature ranges.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Work around nuts or other allergens.
