Creditors Clerk

Location: Markman Industrial, Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)
Salary: R9,000 – R11,000 per month
Employment Type: Permanent

About the Role

Our client, based in the Markman Industrial area, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Creditors Clerk to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier accounts, processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring creditors are paid accurately and on time.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Creditors Clerk or Accounts Payable role
• Experience working on Pastel Accounting is essential
• Good understanding of creditors and accounts payable processes
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Excel
• Own reliable transport is essential due to the location
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities

• Capture and process supplier invoices accurately and timeously
• Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier invoices
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve account discrepancies
• Prepare creditors reconciliations for payment approval
• Process supplier payments in accordance with company procedures
• Follow up on outstanding invoices, credit notes, and supplier queries
• Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping systems
• Assist with month-end creditors procedures
• Ensure compliance with company financial controls and procedures
• Liaise professionally with suppliers and internal departments
• Assist the finance department with general administrative duties as required

Remuneration

• Salary: R9,000 – R11,000 per month (depending on experience)
