
The Credit Underwriter plays a foundational role in the loan origination process by performing initial evaluations of credit applications within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. This individual supports the underwriting pipeline by ensuring borrower information is complete and accurate, reviewing standard-risk applications, and identifying files that require further manual assessment. The Underwriter uses decisioning tools and established credit policy to assess risk factors while learning the broader framework of credit analysis.
