The Credit Risk Review Analyst supports the independent Credit Risk Review (CRR) function by performing analytical, reporting, and governance activities that contribute to the assessment of credit quality, adherence to lending policies, and the effectiveness of risk management practices. The role requires advanced analytical capability, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong commitment to data integrity, regulatory standards, and continuous process improvement. Additionally, the role drives process efficiency through automation and optimization while leveraging emerging AI-enabled tools and advanced analytic s to enhance reporting, insights, and decision support across the Credit Risk Review function.
Duties & Responsibilities
Supports Credit Risk Review leadership in the development, execution, and management of loan sample selections in accordance with the approved CRR plan. Conducts research and data collection to support sample construction, maintains and manages loan samples throughout the review lifecycle, and ensures accurate upload and maintenance of sample data within BankPoint.
Prepare credit quality metrics, risk grade distributions, dashboards, and executive-level reporting, incorporating analytics to improve insight generation and decision-making effectiveness
Prepare risk assessments and quarterly coverage tracking, for Commercial and Leveraged loans
Responsible for all data entry for Archer Issues to include new Issues, updates and closing Issues
Perform directed downgrade testing and quarterly reporting
Leverage advanced Excel skills, automation tools, and AI-enabled technologies to streamline workflows, improve process efficiency, enhance data accuracy, and maintain standardized CRR templates and high-quality reporting materials
Support Credit Risk Review leadership and governance initiatives, including the preparation and assembly of materials for internal and external examinations
Qualifications
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience
1-5 years commercial banking experience, preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, including use of complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and produce meaningful insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to various audiences
Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound judgment, objectivity, and accountability
Robust organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing demands, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build productive working relationships
Familiarity with data analytics, reporting tools, and technology-enabled solutions, with a focus on improving efficiency and data quality
Understanding of process improvement concepts and ability to identify opportunities for automation and optimization
General awareness of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, and the associated application to business processes
