Job Description

The Credit Risk Analyst supports the Bank's credit risk management function through the evaluation, monitoring, and analysis of member financial institutions and counterparties. This role assesses creditworthiness, financial performance, collateral adequacy, and emerging risks to support sound lending decisions and effective risk management practices.

Accountabilities:

Responsibilities

  • Conduct periodic credit reviews and ongoing monitoring of member financial institutions and counterparties.
  • Analyze financial statements, regulatory filings, performance trends, and key risk indicators to assess creditworthiness.
  • Evaluate collateral adequacy, borrowing capacity, and compliance with applicable lending and credit policies.
  • Monitor trends in capital adequacy, liquidity, asset quality, earnings performance, and other financial metrics.
  • Prepare credit analyses, risk rating recommendations, and review memoranda for management decision-making.
  • Perform monitoring, stress testing, and scenario analyses to assess potential credit risk exposure.
  • Responsible for regulatory reporting and member examination review.
  • Evaluate and monitor credit models and risk assessment methodologies to ensure effectiveness and accuracy.
  • Assist with testing and validation of departmental processes, controls, and technology applications.
  • Partner with business units across the Bank to provide strong risk management
  • Serve as backup support for key credit reporting and monitoring processes.
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and completion of compliance and risk management reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and risk monitoring capabilities.
  • Maintain awareness of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging credit risks impacting member institutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • One to three years experience in credit analysis, banking, financial services, risk management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis and interpretation.
  • Understanding of credit risk principles, portfolio management concepts, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with appropriate judgment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning.


Preferred

  • Experience analyzing financial institutions or regulated entities.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling, statistical analysis, or quantitative risk assessment techniques.
  • Experience with SQL, data analytics tools, or business intelligence platforms.

Compensation Range:

Annual Salary: $59,046.00 - $70,118.00

This salary range represents the Bank’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This role is also eligible to participate in the Bank’s annual incentive plan.
